Fremont Fire Department

Anqi students visited and took a tour of the Fremont Fire Department. The students were able to ask questions and see the living quarters of the firemen. The students were even able to climb onto the fire engine too! At the end of our visit, each student was given a junior firefighter hat, and a junior firefighter badge to remember the visit.

Don Edwards Wildlife Reserve

Living in the San Francisco Bay Area is an exceptional privilege. The students get a chance to see and document the great variety of flora and fauna without having to travel too far. There were plenty of squirrels and swallows, but did you know there was a great white egret within the wildlife refuge too?

The students learn to appreciate and identify the variety of wildlife that is native to our local region.

Chuck E Cheese

An afternoon at Chuck E Cheese's house is always a time of great fun. Students get to relax and be themselves in a fun filled game environment. Students build up their self esteem by encouraging one another as they play games

Chinese Class

Our Chinese teachers are passionate about the Chinese language and culture. Class is taught in Chinese for the most effective learning. No previous language skill is necessary. Students learn to read, write, and speak in a very interactive environment with the teacher and classmates. Chinese games and movies also help to round out their learning.

Students also learn Chinese songs, poetry, geography and culture to help them to fully appreciate their Chinese heritage.

Jelly Belly Factory

The Jelly Belly Factory is one of the farthest field trips Anqi School has ever traveled for.It takes about an hours drive time to get to the factory. At the factory, the students get to see how Jelly Belly jelly beans are manufactured. Not only do the students get to see the candy, they also get to taste it too!

LEGO Robotics

LEGO Robotics is open to student of all ages. The class allows students to develop skills in following instructions, critical thinking, and team work. To help students develop confidence, their robotics projects are guided by clear instructions. Once students have developed a good understanding of robot construction and programming, students begin to engineer their own creations.

Because students build robots in groups, students will develop skills in leadership, and teamwork.
