Robotics Inchworm

Justin and Shana just started robotics recently. They chose to do an robotic inchworm. It's an easy project, and their completed project can be enjoyed immediately. Shana likes the camera, while Justin would rather not be on screen

Alvin's Paper Rollercoaster

For the end of the school year, the older students did something fun. They built paper roller coasters! The only supplies they were allowed to use included a cardboard base, a pad of paper, scotch tape, scissors, and a marble. 

Here, Alvin shows his paper roller coaster, which includes many chutes, runs, a drop, a bowl, and a loop-d-loop. There were many challenges, including structure stability, lack of gravity, and "accidents" from being bumped around. Great job Alvin! Enjoy the show!

Robotics Race Car

The girls build a race car with our new LEGO Mindstorms NXT 2.0 set. This race car uses a two button controller and front wheel steering. Let's go race!

Computer Time

Anqi School has a few computer workstations for the students to do homework and gain enrichment. They can look up facts using reference programs, and type their report in a word processing program. When they are done with their homework, students can play a number of different educational games. Some games challenge the student's knowledge, math, vocabulary, history, and even physics.

Newark Police Department

The police are the GOOD GUYS! Anqi School went for a visit to the Newark Police station. While there, the students saw the Emergency 911 Response Center, the holding cells, the debriefing room, the canine training suit, and the record files. The students even had a chance to sit in a real police cruiser!
